RPC settings

To get started using the Mantle network the first thing you will need to do is to set the RPC correctly in your wallet. Almost any web3 wallet will work. Metamask is the most popular so we will be showing how to connect using Metamask.

Rabby.io is another wallet similar to Metamask that was built by the team behind Debank. The convenience and security of Rabby is far superior to metamask in our opinion. With Rabby you dont need to add the RPC yourself as it is already built in for every network that they support. Strong recommendation to ditch Metamask for Rabby.

RPC stands for Remote Procedure call and they are nodes that communicate with the chain. Without proper RPC settings you really cant do anything.

1) In Metamask click the drop down in the top left hand corner and then click add network.

2) After clicking add network a new tab will be opened for you that looks like the image below. You will want to click "Add Network Manually"

3) On the next page you will want to input the following information:

Network Name: Mantle Network

New RPC URL: https://rpc.mantle.xyz

Chain ID: 5000

Currency Symbol: MNT

Block Explorer URL : https://explorer.mantle.xyz

When you have done this click save and your network should look like this:
